SUMMARY:Queries
DESCRIPTION:Quaker queries are questions or a series of questions that Quakers use for reflection\, spiritual exercises\, and self-examination. They can be used to explore what’s already present in people’s lives\, consider how their actions are shaped by truth and love\, and live more fully in alignment with the spirit.

SUMMARY:Summer Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of crafts\, ice cream\, and music\, featuring The Peaceabilities and Evan Carawan. \nThe Peaceabilities\n‘The Peaceabilities’ (formerly\, ‘The Emancipators’)\, winner of the 2016 Peacemaker Award by the Oak Ridge Environmental Peace Alliance\, has been making music for community-building\, peace\, and justice since 2008.  Same players and music for fun and better-world making\, just a different moniker. \n‘The Peaceabilities’ play acoustic music\, both traditional and contemporary\, with vocal harmonies and plenty of opportunities for listeners to sing along. We seek to play music that is fun\, and also that tells personal stories\, builds community\, and promotes peace and positive social change. The band has benefited from a number of fine musicians who have moved to other projects over the years and mourns the loss of our flutist and perennial source of good cheer\, Durant Thompson\, Jr. Current members are Guy Larry Osborne\, Kevin Collins\, Ralph Hutchison\, and Mitzi Wood-von Mizener. \nFind out more: www.facebook.com/thepeaceabilities \nEvan Carawan\nEvan Carawan is a native East Tennessean who is a virtuoso hammer dulcimer and mandolin player. The son of musical legends\, Guy and Candie Carawan\, Evan grew up at the Highlander Research and Education Center in New Market\, where his parents coordinated the musical and cultural programs. For years he performed with his parents as “The Carawan Family” and went on to perform solo and with a variety of musical ensembles including the Atomic City Rascals. \nMost recently\, Evan has been one of the featured artists at the annual Bob Dylan Birthday Bash in Knoxville. His music can be heard on Apple Music\, Spotify\, and YouTube. \nFind out more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evan_Carawan
